By creating an account, accessing, or using the ExamLens Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, as well as our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization or educational institution, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and your acceptance of these Terms will be treated as acceptance by that entity.

ExamLens is an AI-powered exam preparation platform designed for students in Taiwan. The Service provides the following core features:

AI Question Generation — Snap a photo of any textbook page, worksheet, or exam paper, and ExamLens uses optical character recognition (OCR) and large language models to generate interactive practice questions tailored to your difficulty level, including multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and true/false formats.

Instant AI Solutions — Upload a photo of any problem to receive step-by-step solutions and explanations for subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Chinese, Biology, Earth Science, History, Geography, and Civics.

Wrong Answer Notebook — ExamLens automatically tracks every mistake you make, organizing them into a digital notebook with a mastery system (Active, Reviewing, Mastered) so you can focus on areas that need improvement.

Mock Exams — Timed, full-length practice exams modeled after the General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) and the Comprehensive Assessment Program (CAP), covering all tested subjects with scoring and performance analytics.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

The Service is intended for users who are at least twelve (12) years of age. If you are under the age of twelve (12), you may not create an account or use the Service.

If you are between the ages of twelve (12) and seventeen (17), you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you have obtained such consent. We reserve the right to request proof of parental or guardian consent at any time and to terminate accounts where such consent cannot be verified.

Parents and guardians who consent to their minor child's use of the Service agree to be bound by these Terms on the minor's behalf and are responsible for monitoring the minor's use of the Service.

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update such information as necessary to keep it accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password. You agree to notify ExamLens immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

You may not share your account credentials with any third party or allow any third party to access the Service through your account. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.

ExamLens reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe that your account information is inaccurate, that you have violated these Terms, or that your continued use of the Service poses a risk to ExamLens or other users.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

Use the Service to facilitate cheating, academic dishonesty, or any form of academic misconduct, including but not limited to submitting AI-generated solutions as your own original work on graded assignments or examinations without the permission of your educational institution.

Upload, transmit, or share any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable, including content that is inappropriate for minors.

Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying models of the Service or any part thereof.

Use any automated means, including bots, scrapers, or crawlers, to access the Service or extract data from the Service without our prior written consent.

Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including by introducing viruses, worms, or other malicious code.

Violation of these acceptable use provisions may result in immediate termination of your account and, where applicable, referral to the relevant authorities.

The Service, including all software, algorithms, AI models, user interface designs, graphics, logos, trademarks, and all other content and materials made available through the Service (collectively, "ExamLens Content"), is the property of ExamLens Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and international treaties.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service and ExamLens Content for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms.

You retain all rights to the content you upload to the Service, including photographs of textbook pages, worksheets, handwritten notes, and other materials ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant ExamLens a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to upload your User Content and that your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

The Service uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to generate questions, solutions, explanations, and other educational content. While we strive to ensure the accuracy of AI-generated content, you acknowledge and agree that:

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. ExamLens does not guarantee the correctness, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content provided through the Service.

You should always verify AI-generated solutions and explanations with your teachers, tutors, or other qualified educational professionals. AI-generated content is intended as a supplementary study aid and should not be relied upon as the sole source of information for any academic purpose.

The Service is not a substitute for professional education, tutoring, or instruction from qualified educators. ExamLens does not replace the role of teachers, schools, or educational institutions in your academic development.

ExamLens shall not be held liable for any academic consequences, including but not limited to incorrect answers on exams or assignments, that may result from reliance on AI-generated content provided through the Service.

ExamLens offers both free and paid subscription tiers. The free tier provides limited access to core features, including a daily cap on AI question generation and solution requests.

The Pro Scholar subscription is available at NT$190 per month and unlocks unlimited AI question generation, unlimited instant solutions, advanced analytics, priority support, and access to all premium features.

New Pro Scholar subscribers are eligible for a seven (7) day free trial. You may cancel your trial at any time before it ends to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial period expires, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription.

All subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device platform. By subscribing, you also agree to the payment terms of the applicable app store.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management settings of your device's app store. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will continue to have access to Pro Scholar features until that date. No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods.

ExamLens reserves the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following notice of the change. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ExamLens Inc., its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.

In no event shall the total aggregate liability of ExamLens to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to ExamLens in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one thousand New Taiwan Dollars (NT$1,000).

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. ExamLens does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ExamLens Inc., its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of any third party; or (d) your User Content.

ExamLens reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court (臺灣臺北地方法院) as the court of first instance. Both parties irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such court.

ExamLens reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website and within the application, updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and, where practicable, sending a notification through the Service or to the email address associated with your account.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and deactivate your account.
